3M™ Cubitron™ II Fiber Disc 982C is made using precision-shaped ceramic grain technology from 3M™, which is electrostatically oriented on the backing into triangular points. These points act as individual cutting tools that continuously sharpen themselves during use, maintaining consistently sharp edges.
The result is:
- faster material removal even with less pressure,
- cooler grinding, which reduces the risk of metal burning,
- up to double the lifespan compared to conventional ceramic discs,
- higher productivity and less operator fatigue.
Typical applications:
- edge rounding and beveling,
- removal of welds on carbon steel,
- grinding of scales, defects, and irregularities of workpieces,
