Loctite 272 is a suitable solution for cases where you need to secure a joint against spontaneous loosening and also seal it thoroughly. You can easily secure the thread and seal it by applying Loctite 272 directly into the thread, where it subsequently cures without access to air between two metal surfaces. We recommend using Loctite 272 primarily when you want to ensure a permanently secured joint, as the high-strength lock is very difficult to disassemble later. Loctite 272 is mainly used for securing the strength and sealing of really large screws (M24 and larger). It provides high resistance to vibrations and shocks.
