Description
Loctite 277 is a high-strength thread locker, designed for permanent sealing and securing of threaded connections. After curing, it achieves very good strength and resistance. It cures without air access between two metal surfaces. Loctite 277 is primarily designed for large threads, but it can also be used for standard threaded connections, though a higher viscosity should be expected. Once cured, it prevents cracking, loosening, or complete release of bonded components. It is suitable for securing really large structural bolts and similar applications. An advantage is its relatively high heat resistance, up to 200 °C.
