Description
Description
The kit combines the one-component cyanoacrylate adhesive Loctite 382 TAK PAK with the activator Loctite SF 7455 based on amines. Together, they form a complete system for quick and reliable fixation of electronic components on printed circuit boards. The adhesive is suitable for rubber, plastics, and metals; the activator also allows bonding of metals, glass, and ceramics and significantly reduces curing time.
Loctite 382 TAK PAK:
A one-component, fast-curing, highly viscous cyanoacrylate adhesive for electronics. Designed for use with TAK PAK activators for instant curing when fixing electronic components. Substrate base: rubber, plastics, and metals.
Typical applications:
- Stitching ends of wires on a spool
- Securing components against improper handling
- Mounting spacers and edge guides
- Reinforcing printed circuit boards
Loctite SF 7455:
A one-component, colorless activator based on amines without CFCs for accelerating the curing of cyanoacrylate adhesives. Can be applied before and after the adhesive application; particularly suitable for post-application to ensure quick fixation.
Typical applications:
- Securing wires and spools on PCBs
- Securing components against improper handling
- Mounting spacers, edge guides, and reinforcing plates
- Bonding metals, glass, and ceramics with a requirement for quick curing
How to use the kit (according to TDS Loctite 382):
Step 1 — Surface preparation: Clean and degrease the bonding surfaces.
Step 2 — Applying the activator: Apply SF 7455 by spray, brush, or dipping. Allow to air dry (approx. 15–30 s).
Step 3 — Applying the adhesive: Immediately after the activator has dried, apply Loctite 382. If more than 45 seconds have passed, reapply the activator.
Step 4 — Joining and fixing: Bring the parts together, briefly move them for even distribution of the adhesive, then hold until cured.
