It is recommended to use the sealing yarn to secure and seal primarily metal or plastic pipes or fittings, up to size 6" NPT. This solution is optimal for threaded assemblies where immediate use is required. A significant advantage of sealing yarns like Loctite 55 is that they do not cure and seal threads immediately after application, even under maximum pressure.
