Description

LOCTITE 638 is an adhesive designed for bonding cylindrical components. It is primarily used where the gap can reach up to 0.25 mm, and maximum strength is required. The product cures without air access in the gap between the bonded metal surfaces, thus preventing loosening or leaking of the joint that can occur due to vibrations and shocks. Typical applications include securing sleeves and clamps in housings and on shafts.

Recommendations

The product is not recommended for use in oxygen systems, nor for sealing chlorine or other strongly oxidizing materials.
